RiskMetrics Partners with Board Portal Provider

Exclusive deal puts Governance Exchange into BoardVantage platform

RiskMetrics Group and board portal-provider BoardVantage signed an exclusive agreement that embeds a RiskMetrics governance application into BoardVantage’s portal offering.

RiskMetrics’ Governance Exchange is a platform that enables corporate boards and management from member companies to conduct online forums, share best practices and receive updates on governance trends through white papers, webinars, surveys and other analysis.

Under the deal, announced June 24, BoardVantage, headquartered in Meno Park, Calif., becomes RiskMetrics’ exclusive board portal partner, the companies said.

“Governance Exchange creates an online community for investors, company management and board members to share ideas, experiences and best practices,” stated Jill Lyons, head of RiskMetrics’ Governance Exchange. “Partnering with BoardVantage, the market leader in board portals, to rapidly bring these benefit to directors was an obvious choice for us.”

Governance Exchange covers topics including executive pay, the proxy season, succession planning and performance metrics, the companies said.
